We had apple pie for breakfast today. We put a big S on the crust, S for the cooks' initials and also S for Scrivener whose recipe we used. It is indeed a damn fine pie. Thanks to Jody whose comment in the cooking w/kids post reminded me to try baking a pie. Curious Girl ate most of the apples she sliced, but she had lots of fun rolling out the crust (we used the Moosewood recipe for a crust).
I do have a more substantive post in the works, but it needs editing on a day when there are just lots of fun things going on. Like games of Dora the Explorer Uno or Fruit Dominos on my new purple yoga mat. CG is craving attention today.

I love CG eating the apples along the way...
Did you really carve an S in the crust for me, or at least partially for me? Golly!
Well, at least partially for you, Scrivener: you (or at least your blog moniker) shares an initial with me and with CG, and I did tell her that we were using a recipe from one of my online blogging buddies. I like making recipes with stories to go with them, and the S is part of the good story with that pie.
